Fanny Burney's Heroines
Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá životem britské autorky Fanny Burneyové (1752-1840) a porovnáním hlavních ženských postav jejích trí románu - Evelina (1778), Cecilia (1780) a Camilla (1796). Práce sleduje postavy hrdinek z ruzných úhlu pohledu, srovnává jejich vztah k mužum, spolecnosti, etikete apod. a hledá mezi nimi spolecné rysy a rozdíly.
Abstract:
The thesis deals with the life of British woman writer Fanny Burney (1752-1840) and with the comparison of heroines of her three novels Evelina (1778), Cecilia (1780) and Camilla (1796). The thesis concentrates on the heroines from various points of view (their relations to men, society, conventions) and traces common and different features among them.
