The Stolen Generation: The Government's Late Apology to Indigenous Australians
Abstract:
This work concentrates on the destiny of so called ``Stolen Generations{\crq}q of Indigenous Australians. It covers the apology delivered to Indigenous Australians by the government in 2008, and reasons why previous governments refused to apologize. Then the work analyzes whether the apology was well-founded and possible consequences that the apology may bring, especially monetary compensation.
Abstract:
Tato práce se zaměřuje na osudy takzvané ``Ukradené generace{\crq}q domorodých austrálců. Zabývá se omluvou podanou australskou vládou v roce 2008 a důvody, proč předchozí vlády omluvu odmítly. Dále pak zkoumá, zda-li byla omluva opodstatněná a možné následky, které může omluva přivodit, zejména pak finanční odškodnění.
