Changes in Czech Sign Language Teaching in Secondary Schools

Abstract:

Závěrečná práce se zabývá tématem Proměny výuky českého znakového jazyka na středních školách. V práci jsem chtěla poukázat, zda a pokud vůbec došlo v posledních desítkách let k proměnám ve výuce českého znakového jazyka na běžných středních školách. Do tvorby práce nemile zasáhla deklarace ASNEP - jenž měla za důsledek to, že část přislíbených respondentů, i po ujištění naprosté anonymizace, odmítala na otázky odpovědět a upozornit tak na sebe, jakožto na vyučujícího znakového jazyka na běžné střední škole. V současné době jsou autorce práce známy pouze 4 střední školy, potažmo gymnázium, ve kterých se vyučuje předmět znakový jazyk - ve 3 z nich vyučují tlumočníci ZJ, v jednom případě, od nedávné doby vyučuje neslyší, která převzala výuku po zesnulé pedagožce (tlumočnici). Rozhodně by si téma Proměny výuky českého znakového jazyka na středních školách zasloužilo podrobnější zkoumání právě i s ohledem na post pedagoga. Nicméně jsem ráda, že alespoň na případu prvního pedagoga bylo možné demonstrovat, jak ve vyvinula výuka v posledních dekádách.

Abstract:

The final thesis deals with the topic of Changes in the teaching of Czech sign language in secondary schools. In the thesis I wanted to show whether and if at all there have been changes in the teaching of Czech sign language in mainstream secondary schools in the last decades. The ASNEP declaration - which had the consequence that some of the promised respondents, even after assurances of complete anonymity, refused to answer the questions and thus drew attention to themselves as teachers of sign language in mainstream secondary schools - interfered unpleasantly with the production of the thesis. At present, the author of this thesis is aware of only 4 secondary schools, or rather high schools, where the subject of sign language is taught - in 3 of them ZJ interpreters teach, in one case, as of recently, a deaf teacher who took over the teaching from a deceased teacher (interpreter). Definitely the topic of the Transformation of Czech Sign Language Teaching in Secondary Schools would deserve a more detailed investigation, also with regard to the post of teacher. However, I am glad that at least the case of the first teacher could be demonstrated, how teaching has evolved in recent decades.
