Comparison of results of the coaches with long-term and short-term engagement in the top European football clubs

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo charakterizovat osm vybraných fotbalových trenérů, kteří byli rozděleni do dvou skupin, kdy kritérium bylo jejich dlouhodobé, či krátkodobé angažmá v předních evropských klubech a následně komparovat jejich úspěšnost za posledních šest sezón jejich kariéry. Bylo zjištěno, že trenéři s dlouhodobým angažmá jsou úspěšnější v domácí lize a trenéři s krátkodobým angažmá v evropských soutěžích.

Abstract:

The aim of this Bachelor's thesis was to characterize eight selected professional football coaches, divided into two groups. The criterion was their long-term or short-term engagement in the top European football clubs and then to compare their success in the last six seasons of their career. It has been found that coaches with long-term engagement are more successful in the domestic league and coaches with short-term in the European competitions.
