Abstract:
Bakalářská práce „Ralph Vaughan Williams: život a tvorba pro violu“ pojednává o tomto skladateli, jeho životě i odkazu, vlivu anglické lidové hudby na jeho tvorbu a o dílech zkomponovaných pro violu. Rozebírá jak kompozice pro sólový nástroj s doprovodem, tak kompozice, v nichž viola hraje zásadní roli. Jde o Four Hymns, Flos Campi, Suitu pro violu a komorní orchestr a Romanci.
Abstract:
The thesis “Ralph Vaughan Williams: life and viola works” deals with the composer, his life and legacy, the influence an English folk song had on his composing. It also deals with his works for solo viola with accompaniment as well as works in which the viola plays a crucial role. It analyses his most significant works: Four Hymns, Flos Campi, Suite for viola and orchestra, and Romance.
