Lifelong learning management of registered general nurses and midwives in the Czech Republic after joining the European Union

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zjišťuje pomocí dotazníkového šetření názory sester a porodních asistentek na problematiku celoživotního vzdělávání a s ním spojené registrace nelékařských zdravotnických pracovníků. Dále metodou rozhovoru s hlavními sestrami/náměstkyněmi ošetřovatelské sonduje, jak byla organizována registrace sester a porodních asistentek ve zdravotnických zařízeních, ve kterých probíhal výzkum, a jak tato zdravotnická zařízení k celoživotnímu vzdělávání svých pracovníků přistupují. Teoretická část práce stručně seznamuje s historií profese sestry a porodní asistentky, mapuje vývoj zdravotnického školství u nás a popisuje jeho současnou strukturu, seznamuje s některými systémy vzdělávání sester a porodních asistentek v zahraničí a zabývá se také aktuálním způsobem zajištění celoživotního vzdělávání zdravotníků u nás. Popisuje snahu o zavedení registrace, uvádí podmínky pro získání osvědčení k výkonu povolání bez odborného dohledu Přináší úplný výčet našich aktuálně platných právních předpisů, které souvisejí s danou problematikou a s nejdůležitějšími seznamuje blíže. Závěr práce přináší možná doporučení pro zefektivnění celoživotního vzdělávání sester a porodních asistentek

Abstract:

The thesis examines views of nurses and midwives of issues in lifelong learning, accompanied by the registration of the medical assistants. Staff nurses have been interviewed in order to identify how the registrations of nurses and nurse-midwives have been carried out and what the attitude of these healthcare centres to the lifelong learning is. The theoretical part of the thesis deals briefly with the history of the nursing in the Czech Republic and surveys the development of the medical education, the current situation and introduces the education system of the nurses abroad. The thesis also examines how the lifelong learning is ensured in the Czech Republic. The thesis describes the effort and reasons for the implementation of the registration and mentions the conditions under which one can gain the professional certificate to perform the job without supervision. The thesis contains a list of all topical legal enactments, which are related to the discussed issue, and makes the readers acquainted with the most important ones. There are possible recommendations in the conclusion, which have been deduced from the research and can help to make the lifelong learning efficient
