Testing Polycarbonate Security Elements

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce je testovanie ochranných prvkov z polykarbonátu. V teoretickej časti sú všeobecné popísané polyméry so zameraním na polykarbonát s jeho výrobou a spracovaním. Následne sú popísané ochranné a obranné prvky vyrobené z polykarbonátu. V praktickej časti sú testované mechanické vlastnosti polykarbonátov (statické i rázové) za bežných podmienok, ale aj po klimatických testoch. Sú skúmané vybrané druhy polykarbonátov vyrobené hlavne technológiou vstrekovanie. Získané výsledky sú graficky a štatisticky vyhodnotené. Cieľ diplomovej práce je rozšírený o testovanie obranného prvku z polykarbonátu z teoretickej časti, ktorý je podrobený testu pevnosti proti vybraním predmetom. Následne sú skúmané jeho mechanické vlastnosti inštrumentovanou skúškou prierazom. Získané výsledky sú graficky a štatisticky vyhodnotené.

Abstract:

The aim of diploma Thesis is to test protective elements made of polycarbonate. The theoretical part generally describes polymers with a focus on polycarbonate with his production and processing. Subsequently, protective and defensive elements made of polycarbonate are described. The practical part contains mechanical properties testing of polycarbonates (static and impact) under normal conditions, but also after climatic tests. The main focus of examination is put on selected types of polycarbonates that were produced primarily through injection moulding technology. Obtained results are graphically and statistically evaluated. The aim of the diploma Thesis is extended by testing of the defensive element made of polycarbonate described in the theoretical part, which is subjected to a strength test against selected objects. Subsequently, mechanical properties are examined by an instrumented impact test. Obtained results are graphically and statistically evaluated.
