Managers' value system

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je pomocí empirického šetření ve vybrané společnosti na téma hodnot a hodnotového systému manažerů site leadership teamu provést komparaci s hodnotami firemními. Dále pak za pomoci teoretického rámce popsat vliv hodnot na manažera, způsob vedení lidí, souladu či rozporu s hodnotami firmy a poznání osoních hodnot manažerů. V teoretické části práce bylo definováno klíčové pojetí významů, jakými jsou hodnoty, styl vedení, pojem manažer, hodnoty, a zkoumá jejich vzájemné vztahy. Část teoretická rovněž zkoumá význam rovnováhy mezi osobními a firemními hodnotami manažerů a bere je jako klíčový faktor pro soulad hodnot a životního stylu. Teoretický rámec je podporou pro výzkumnou část v hledání osobnostních charakteristik a propojení s oblasmi pracovního života. Pro výzkum byla použita kvalitativní metoda ze dvou částí, kde v první byl uspořádán workshop dle předdefinovaného Workshopboxu a druhá část probíhala za použití polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s vybranými manažery. Výsledkem šetření jsou popisy hodnot a hodnotový systém jednotlivých manažerů, které jsou následně porovnány v rámci firemních hodnot a preferencí vzhledem k zastávané pozici. Následně byla vznesena doporučení v návrhové části práce a výsledky zhodnoceny v závěru diplmové práce. Ten, kdo nezná cíl, jen sotva cestu přečká. Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to compare the values and value system of site leadership team managers with the company values by means of an empirical investigation in a selected company. Then, using the theoretical framework, to describe the influence of values on the manager, the way of leading people, the alignment or contradiction with the company's values and the understanding of the managers' personal values. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the key concepts of meanings such as values, leadership style, the concept of manager, and values were defined and their interrelationships were examined. The theoretical part also examines the importance of the balance between personal and corporate values of managers and takes them as a key factor for the congruence of values and lifestyle. The theoretical framework supports the research part in its search for personal characteristics and links to areas of working life. A qualitative method of two parts was used for the research, where the first part was a workshop according to a predefined Workshopbox and the second part was conducted using semi-structured interviews with selected managers. The results of the research are descriptions of the values and value system of each manager, which are then compared in terms of company values and preferences in relation to the position held. Subsequently, recommendations were made in the design section of the thesis and the results evaluated in the conclusion of the thesis.
