This master thesis deals with chromium and its relation to obesity. The theoretical part describes the metabolism of chromium and its role in nutrient metabolism and its concentration in various biological materials. Diplomová práca sa zaoberá chrómom a jeho vzťahu k obezite. V teoretickej časti je popísaný metabolizmus chrómu a jeho úloha v metabolizme živín i jeho koncentrácie v rôznych biologických materiáloch, ďalej je venovaná pozornosť chrómu v potravinách a v doplnkoch stravy.
