Comparison stylistic in French and Czech

Abstract:

This thesis consists of three parts and its subject is a comparison of the French and Czech similes. It deals with the practical use of this comparison in linguistics and in common speech. The first part is dedicated to the theoretical definition of simile, its types and stylistic comparison supplemented by examples from the dictionaries and fiction. The second part of the work deal with the creation of questionnaires and their following research. The responses of the native speakers from the questionnaires are compared and allow us to see the differences and similarities in the use of selected stylistic similes, the degree of use of some of them, and also if there is some interconnection between the two languages and the possible equivalence of the words in the translation. The third part include the application of the acquired knowledges by creation of exercise for Czech students, and then their implementation into tuition at high school. The first point is to clarify the concepts and classifications of the similes, presente their formal and semantic page, explain the stylistic comparisons and find out how the term is defined in the Czech and French linguisticomme The creation of the czech and the french questionnaires and their subsequent comparison is the main point of this thesis. The last point is an implemenation of the stylistic similes in the tuition at high school and the following evaluation of findings. The main goal of this thesis is to clarify the issue of stylistic similes, indicate translation options between French and Czech language, evaluate the degree of equivalence in translation of selected expressions, and engage the stylistic comparison in the tuition of FLE (French as a foreign language).

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se skládá ze tří částí a jejím předmětem je komparace francouzských a českých přirovnání. Zabývá praktickým užíváním těchto komparací v lingvistice a v běžné řeči. První část je věnována teoretickému vymezení přirovnání, jeho typům a následně komparaci stylistické doplněné o příklady ze slovníků a beletrie. Druhá část práce je praktická, zabývající se tvorbou dotazníků a jejich následným výzkumem. Odpovědi rodilých mluvčí z těchto dotazníků budou porovnávány a umožní nám vidět rozdíly a podobnosti v používání vybraných stylistických přirovnání, míru užití některých z nich a také zda existuje nějaká provázanost mezi dvěma jazyky a jaká je případná ekvivalence slov v překladu. Třetí částí je aplikování nabytých znalostí v rámci tvorby cvičení pro české studenty, a jejich následné uvedení do výuky na gymnáziu. Prvním bodem je objasnit pojmy a klasifikace přirovnání, představit formální a sémantickou stránku, vysvětlit komparaci stylistickou a zjistit jakým způsobem je tento pojem vymezen v české a ve francouzské lingvistice. Důležitým bodem je vlastní tvorba českých a francouzských dotazníků a jejich následné porovnání. Posledním bodem je uvedení stylistických přirovnání do výuky na gymnáziu, a následné zhodnocení poznatků. Hlavním cílem této práce je objasnit problematiku stylistických přirovnání, naznačit překladové možnosti mezi francouzštinou a češtinou, zhodnotit míru ekvivalence při překladu zvolených výrazů, a zapojit stylistická přirovnání do výuky FLE (francouzština jako cizí jazyk).
