Towns in Northeast Moravia as a Part of the Dominion of the Olomouc Bishopric in 1496-1564

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá správním a hospodářským vývojem měst ležících na hukvaldském a kelečském panství, které byly součástí majetkových držav olomouckého biskupství v raném novověku. Hlavní část práce se věnuje komunikaci mezi olomouckými biskupy a městy a také privilegiím, která byla olomouckými biskupy těmto městům udělena. Rovněž je pozornost věnována řemeslné výrobě a cechovním organizacím v těchto městech. Práce je primárně založena na výzkumu needitovaných pramenů a studiu literatury. Výsledkem je základní nastínění vývoje těchto měst v období let 1496-1564. Tato doba je vymezena episkopáty tří olomouckých biskupů, a to Stanislava Thurza, Jana Dubravia a Marka Khuena.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the administrative and economic development of towns located in the Hukvaldy and Kelč manors, which were part of the property estates of the Olomouc bishopric in the early modern period. The main part of the thesis is devoted to communication between the bishops of Olomouc and the towns, as well as the privileges granted by the bishops of Olomouc to these towns. Attention is also paid to craft production and guild organizations in these towns. The work is primarily based on research of unedited sources and the study of literature. The result is a basic outline of the development of these towns in the time period 1496-1564, which is defined by the episcopate of three bishops of Olomouc: Stanislav Thurzo, Jan Dubravius, Marek Khuen.
