Structural investigative methods in diagnostics of glaucoma

Abstract:

Glaukom je vážné onemocnění oka, které způsobuje nevratné poškození sítnice. Velmi důležité je včasné odhalení glaukomu, vhodná léčba, laserový zákrok nebo chirurgická operace a sledování průběhu nemoci. Strukturální vyšetřovací metody jsou vhodným prostředkem ke sledování glaukomových změn na sítnici. Strukturální vyšetřovací metody umožňují sledovat stav sítnice, její tloušťku a atrofii nervových buněk sítnice a další anomálie. Moderní strukturální vyšetřovací metody jsou HRT = skenovaní laserová oftalmoskopie, GDx = laserová skenovaní polarimetrie, OCT = optická koherentní tomografie a RTA = analýza topografie sítnice.

Abstract:

Glaucoma is serious disease of eyes, that cause irreversible damage of retina.Very important is early detection of glaucoma, treatment by medication, laser intercession or surgical intervention and control process of disease. Structural investigative methods are right subserviency to monitoring glaucoma’s changes in retina. Structural investigative methods enable to observe state of retina, her thickness and atrophy of nerve retina’s cells and next pathology. Modern structural investigative methods are HRT = Heidelberg retina tomograph, GDx = Nerve fiber analyzer, OCT = Optical koherence tomography and RTA = Retina Thickness Analyzer.
