Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o problematice studia pozůstatků minulé fauny v rámci archeologie, představuje teoretické a metodologické základy této specializace a mapuje vývoj a současný stav integrace této specializace do archeologického bádání zejména v rámci České republiky, kde většinou bývá chápána jako přidružená metoda. Vývoj a stav integrace jsou zkoumány především z hlediska zkoumaných otázek, používaných metod, dosažených výsledků a jejich interpretace. Jednotný deskriptivní systém aplikovaný na reprezentativní vzorek odborné a vědecké literatury poukáže na základní struktury a trendy v integraci zooarcheologického bádání do archeologické praxe.

Abstract:

This master thesis introduces the problematics of study of faunal remains in archaeology. It introduces the main theoretical and methodological approaches of this specialization and deals with the development and conditions of integration of this discipline into the archaeological research especially within the Czech republic, where its methods are usually used to complete the information obtained within the archaeological research. The development and the conditions of integration are studied especially through the main academic questions, methods used, the results and their interpretation. The uniform descriptive system applied to a representative sample of literature will show the main structures and trends in integration of zooarchaeology/archaeozoology into the archaeological practice.
