Záměrem výzkumu bylo zjistit, jak souvisí míra self-monitoringu a self-esteemu jedinců s četností použití taktik impression managementu. Pro výzkum byla zvolena metoda založená na taxonomii taktik dle Jonese a Pittmana, která zahrnuje pět taktik impression managementu – propagace vlastní osoby, lichocení, příkladné chování, zastrašování a žádání o pomoc. The aim of the research was to find out to what extent was the measure of self-monitoring and self-esteem of individuals dependent on the number of the impression management tactics’ applications. The method based on taxonomy of tactics by Jones and Pittman was chosen for the research.
