Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Srovnání české a rakouské zahraniční politiky obecně a vůči jižní Asii“ nejdříve zkoumá obecné principy a východiska české a rakuské zahraniční politiky. Identifikuje a analyzuje hlavní aspekty zahraniční politiky obou zemí – z hlediska historického vývoje, politických, ekonomických a bezpečnostních aspektů, pozice v mezinárodních organizacích, podpory lidských práv a poskytované rozvojové spolupráce. Srovnání těchto aspektů slouží jako první ze dvou cílů práce a zároveň, spolu s nastíněním základních vývojů v jižní Asii a role Evropské Unie v tomto regionu, poskytuje širší rámec pro analýzu a srovnání zahraniční politiky obou zemí vůči jižní Asii. Při srovnání politik ČR a Rakouska vůči jižní Asii autor pracuje se stejnými aspekty zahraniční politiky jako v obecné části a snaží se identifikovat shody a rozdílnosti v přístupech obou zemí a důvody, proč tomu tak je.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis “Comparison of Austrian and Czech Foreign Policies and their Politics towards South Asia” first examines general principles and fundaments of Czech and Austrian foreign policy, identifies and analyses main aspects of foreign policies of both countries – the historic developments, political, economic and security aspects, position in the international organizations, promotion of human rights and provided development cooperation. The comparison of these aspects is not just the first task of the thesis but also - together with overview of basic developments in South Asia and of the role of the EU in this region - provides broader frame for analysis and comparison of the foreign policies of both countries towards South Asia. Comparing Czech and Austrian politics towards South Asia the author works with the same aspects of the foreign policy as in the general part and identifies common things and differences in the attitudes of both countries and the reasons for it.
