Designing a more sustainable business model of the chosen company

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá udržitelností vybrané české výrobní firmy, která podniká v oděvním průmyslu. Cílem práce je navržení nového a více udržitelného business modelu. Teoretická část zmiňuje udržitelnost, lineární ekonomiku a problémy s ní spojené. Dále představuje udržitelnější řešení, kde je velký důraz kladen na cirkulární ekonomiku a její business modely. Následně jsou představeny nástroje Business Model Canvas a Business Model Navigator, které slouží k popsání současného business modelu a k jeho inovaci. Praktická část provází procesem inovace business modelu. V rámci iniciační fáze je popsáno okolí podniku a současný business model. Následuje tvůrčí fáze, ve které jsou uvedeny příklady jiných firem s cirkulárními business modely a rozebrány vzory (patterns) a cirkulární modely, které by bylo možné využít v novém návrhu. V realizační fázi je detailněji popsán návrh více udržitelného business modelu.

Abstract:

This Master´s Thesis deals with the sustainability of a selected Czech manufacturing company operating in the fashion industry. The aim of the Thesis is to propose a new and more sustainable business model. The theoretical part discusses sustainability, linear economy, and problems associated with it. It introduces more sustainable solutions, where great emphasis is placed on circular economy and its business models. The Business Model Canvas and Business Model Navigator tools are then presented, which are used to describe the current business model and its innovation. The practical part accompanies the process of innovating the business model. In the initiation phase, the company's environment and current business model are described. This is followed by the ideation phase, which provides examples of other companies with circular business models and analyzes patterns and circular models that could be used in the new design. The realization phase provides a more detailed description of the proposed more sustainable business model.
