Anotácia:

This diploma thesis is analyzing the causes and background of the last financial crisis. It determined the corporate governance challenges revealed by the crisis like agency problem, lack of skin in the game and weak points in design of remuneration, organizational, financial and risk management systems. Theory of business cycle and other economic concepts were studied to develop better understanding of approaches, from microeconomic and macroeconomic perspective, which was used for construction and summary of best practices in addition to best practices of EFQM. Best practices of EFQM are already highly recognized, renowned, examined and consistently improved over time, therefore very relevant for a path to sustainable excellence for every organization. Developed best practices should prevent crisis of similar character, consistently improve competitiveness and support sustainability.
