Controlling je neoddeliteľnou súčasťou moderného riadenia v podniku. Napomáha k dosahovaniu podnikových cieľov, kvalifikuje a analyzuje odchýlky a na základe zistených príčin a o odhadov ich dopadov navrhuje opatrenia na dosiahnutie plánovaných cieľov.
