Evaluation of hydrological restoration in Podkrusnohori region and its impact to infrastructure

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je "Zhodnocení hydrické rekultivace v Podkrušnohoří a její dopad na infrastrukturu". Práce se zaměřuje na podrobný monitoring stavu lokality napouštěného jezera Most, jako reprezentativní a zcela ojedinělou ukázku řízené rekultivace hydrickou cestou. Předkládaná bakalářská práce mapuje ekologický stav lokality jezera Most v období od začátku roku 2011 až do roku 2013 (resp. 2014). Byla sledována jakost vody pomocí fyzikálně-chemických ukazatelů (pH, konduktivita, teplota, průhlednost) a skladba vodních společenstev, která spočívala v kvantitativním vyhodnocování mikroskopického obrazu u odebraných vzorků vody ve vertikální stratifikaci (tzv. zonační odběry). Ze získaných údajů zonačních odběrů bylo zjišťováno zastoupení funkčních skupin fytoplanktonu, jeho početnost a koncentrace chlorofylu-a. Poprvé byla aplikována metoda stanovení objemové biomasy, která byla kvantitativně vyjádřena jako živá hmotnost přítomných buněk fytoplanktonu (resp. buněčný objem) v jednotce objemu odebraného vzorku vody. Dosavadní výsledky z hydrobiologických rozborů poukazují na velmi dobrý stav lokality, nízkou trofii vody zřejmě způsobenou nedostupností fosforu a z toho vyplývající prozatímní absenci závadných mikroorganismů (např. taxonů toxických sinic).

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is "The Evaluation of the Hydric Reclamation in the Podkrusnohori Region and its Impact on the Infrastructure". It focuses on a detailed status monitoring site of the Most lake as a representative example of a completely unique way of managed hydric reclamation. The present thesis charts the ecological status of the Most lake location in the period from early 2011 to 2013 (or 2014). Water quality was investigated using physico-chemical parameters (pH, conductivity, temperature, lightness ) and the composition of aquatic communities which consisted of a quantitative evaluation of microscopic images of collected water samples in vertical stratification (so-called zonation samples). The retrieved data of the zonation samples showed the representation of the functional groups of phytoplankton, their abundance and the concentration of chlorophyll-a. For the first time, the method of determining the biomass volume, which was quantitatively expressed as live weight of the present phytoplankton cells (or cell volume) per volume of the water sample, was applied. The existing results of hydrobiological analyzes point to a very good condition of the location, low trophic level probably caused by the unavailability of phosphorus and the resulting provisional absence of any harmful microorganisms (e.g. cyanobacterial taxa).
