Abstract:

The primary goal of this diploma thesis is to assess Knowledge Management as a constalntly evolving discipline and explain the importance of this field in Management. I will attempt to provide number of useful IT and non-IT tools for Knowledge Management implementation and give a real life example of where and how these methods are being used and evaluate the level of its success. The aim of the analytical part of this work is to find out how Knowledge Management is executed in CA Technologies; how the information, knowledge and learning methods are collected, transferred and shared throughout the entire organization. Final goal of my thesis is to analyze current position and contribution of Knowledge Management to the development of CA Technologies. In order to achieve the meaningful results of this analysis, I am determined to interview employee of the company that is at the sime time member of the Knowledge Management team within CA Technologies.
