The supply and potential of beer trails in the Czech Republic with the focus on the Krkonoše Beer Trail

Abstract:

V teoretické části práce autor popisuje specifika gastronomického cestovního ruchu a detailněji pivní turismus. Práce se zaměřuje na pivní stezky na území České republiky, které jsou zkoumány jako produkt pivního cestovního ruchu. Výstupem tohoto zkoumání je vytvoření souhrnu pivních stezek na území České republiky spolu s jejich stručnou charakteristikou. Podkladem pro vytvoření tohoto souhrnu byly převážně zdroje volně dostupné na internetu. Práce se dále podrobněji zaměřuje na Krkonošskou pivní stezku, která je zkoumána z pohledu účastníka cestovního ruchu. Důraz je kladen zejména na služby, které jsou účastníkům v rámci stezky nabízeny. Těmito službami jsou hlavně služby ubytovací, stravovací, informační a dopravní. Za účelem zjištění, jak je Krkonošská pivní stezka svými účastníky vnímána a jaké jsou na ní ohlasy, bylo provedeno dotazníkové šetření. Výsledky výzkumu ukazují, že Krkonošská pivní stezka má dobrou pozici v rámci nabídky stravovacích, ubytovacích a informačních služeb, mírně však zaostává v rámci dopravních služeb. Ohlasy účastníků a vnímání stezky jsou převážně pozitivní. V závěru práce je Krkonošská pivní stezka porovnána s pivní stezkou 13 Brauereien Weg, která se nachází v německých Horních Frankách (Oberfranken). Obě stezky jsou porovnávány především z hlediska nabízených služeb. Z porovnání především vyplynulo, že německá pivní stezka výrazně lépe marketingově využívá svůj potenciál. Strana nabídky na německém trhu pivního cestovního ruchu obecně více využívá značku a s ní spojenou tradici a kulturu německého piva za účelem vytvoření podnikatelských příležitostí.

Abstract:

In the theoretical part of the thesis, the author describes the specifics of gastronomic tourism and beer tourism in further detail. The thesis focuses on beer trails in the Czech Republic, which are analyzed as a product of beer tourism. The result of this analysis is the creation of a summary of beer trails in the Czech Republic along with their brief characteristics. The main sources used for the creation of this summary were mostly websites and documents freely available on the Internet. The thesis also focuses more closely on the Krkonoše Beer Trail, which is examined from the perspective of its participant. In particular, it focuses on the services offered to participants within the trail. These services include accommodation, catering, information and transport services. A questionnaire survey was carried out in order to find out how the Krkonoše Beer Trail is perceived and rated by its participants. The results of the survey show that the Krkonoše Beer Trail is well positioned in terms of catering, accommodation and information services, but lags slightly behind in terms of transport services. Results also show that participants' responses and perceptions of the trail are mostly positive. In the conclusion of the thesis, the Krkonoše Beer Trail is compared with the 13 Brauereien Weg, located in Oberfranken, Germany. The two trails are compared mainly in terms of the offered services. However, the comparison mainly shows that the German beer trail makes much better use of its marketing potential. The supply side of the German beer tourism market generally utilises the brand and the associated tradition and culture of German beer more to create business opportunities.
