Influence of essential oils on spore life Alternaria dauci and Phytophthora infestans

Abstract:

Díky novodobé legislativě se do popředí dostávají alternativní možnosti ochrany v zemědělské produkci. Proto bylo zvoleno téma s ohledem na možné využití esenciálních olejů jako alternativní ochrany rostlin. Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem esenciálních olejů na životnost spor patogenů Alternaria dauci a Phytophthora infestans. Alternaria dauci je významným patogenem, protože znemožňuje strojovou sklizeň mrkve. Listy po napadení patogenem usychají a zemědělské stroje nemohou mrkev vytáhnout ze země. Plíseň bramboru je nejobávanější chorobou lilku bramboru, kterou způsobuje původce Phytophthora infestans. Napadá rostliny z čeledi Solanaceae, u kterých způsobuje závažné ztráty, ty nejsou způsobené jen při pěstování, ale i během skladování a zpracování. Plíseň se objevuje každoročně a intenzita napadení porostů závisí hlavně na klimatických podmínkách a způsobu ochrany. Příznaky infekce se projevují na nadzemních i podzemních částech rostliny a způsobují jejich znehodnocení až úhyn. Práce je zaměřena na ověření účinnosti esenciálních olejů z 16 rostlin a následné pozorování spor Alternaria dauci a Phytophthora infestans. Byla stanovena vhodná metoda na získání spor a pozorován vliv jednotlivých esenciálních olejů na spory.

Abstract:

Due to the new legislature there are new alternative options of the agriculture production. That is the reason why it was chosen the theme involving use of an esential oils as the alternative protection of a plants. This bachelor thesis is aimed at the influence of the esential oils on a vitality of the spores patogen Alternaria dauci and Phytophthora infestans. Alternaria dauci is the important patogen because it prevents a harvest machinery from harvesting a carrot. The leaves, after they are attacked by the patogen are dried and the harvest machinery is not able to extract the carrot from the ground. The potatoe mold is one of the most dangerous disease activated by Phytophthora infestans. It attacks plants from menials of Solanaceae, where it causes important losses, which are not caused only when plants are growing up, but even when they are stored and processed. The mold appears anually and intensity of the attacks of the growth depends on the climatical conditions and form of the protection. The symptoms of the infection could be seen on upper and lower parts of the plant and they causes their devaluation or extinction. The thesis is aimed at verification of a usefulness of the esential oils from 16 plants and at the subsequent observations of a spores Alternaria dauci a Phytophthora infestans. The appropriate method was introduced to the extraction of the spores and so was observation of the infulence of the esential oils to the spores.
