Adaptation process of nurses for perioperative care

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje adaptačnímu procesu sester pro perioperační péči. Teoretická část popisuje adaptační proces zaměstnanců v jeho obecné rovině, rolím jednotlivých účastníků adaptačního procesu i pojmům souvisejícím s procesem adaptace jako např. motivace, edukace, pedagogická komunikace, jedna kapitola je věnována perioperační péči. Průzkumná část se zabývá tím, jak mají vybraná pracoviště nastaven adaptační proces sester pro perioperační, jak je řízen a organizován, jakou mají dokumentaci, jak probíhá praktický zácvik a jak probíhá jeho hodnocení. Pro zpracování kvalitativního průzkumu byla zvolena metoda interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy. Data byla získána technikou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a analýzou dokumentace k AP. Bylo zjištěno, že na pracovištích je nastaven AP odlišně, a to podle potřeb pracoviště a personálního obsazení. Zásadní roli v AP zastává školitelka, která je pro nové sestry hlavním zdrojem informací a osobou poskytující bezpečí a jistotu. Základní dokumentace k AP byla na každém pracovišti nastavena zdravotnickým zařízením, její určení pro perioperační sestry bylo na každém pracovišti velmi odlišné.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the adaptation process of nurses for perioperative care. The theoretical part describes the adaptation process of employees in its general level, the roles of individual participants in the adaptation process and concepts related to the adaptation process such as motivation, education, pedagogical communication, one chapter is devoted to perioperative care. The exploratory part deals with how the selected departments have set up the adaptation process of perioperative nurses, how it is managed and organized, what documentation they have, how the practical training is carried out and how it is evaluated. The method of interpretative phenomenological analysis was chosen to develop the qualitative research. The data were obtained through semi-structured interview technique and analysis of AP documentation. It was found that AP is set up differently in workplaces according to the needs of the workplace and staffing. A crucial role in AP is played by the preceptor, who is the main source of information for new nurses and the person providing safety and security. The basic documentation for AP was set by the health facility at each site, and its purpose for perioperative nurses varied widely from site to site.
