Children' s Conceptions of Death

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Dětské pojetí smrti a jeho využití ve výuce se zabývá představami žáků primárního stupně základních škol o smrti. Uvádí několik zahraničních studií na toto téma, dále pak popisuje faktory ovlivňující dětské koncepty smrti a věnuje se i samotné výuce na školách primárního stupně ve spojitosti s ochranou života a zdraví. Ve výzkumné části zjišťuje, pomocí několika výzkumných metod, dětské představy o smrti u žáků první a páté třídy základní školy a snaží se popsat jejich rozdílnost.

Abstract:

This Master Thesis "The understanding of death and its application in teaching children" deals with childrens understanding of death in basic school. It shows several international analysis and studies dealing with this topic, furthermore it despcribes factors, which affect childrens death concepts and also attends to the education in basic schools in connection with their health and life protection. In the research part I was analysing, by dint of several research methods, childrens death concepts in the frame of the first to the fifth grade and I tried to describe their dissimilarities.
