Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is aimed at the mergers and acquisition process namely at the recent acquisition of Skype by Microsoft Corporation, as this purchase was measured as Microsoft’s biggest ever. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the acquisition of Skype by Microsoft including acquisition process, Microsoft motivations and after merge benefits, and conclude what are the expected outlooks. Mainly secondary data are collected from many information sources as such an important transaction was thoughtfully followed by all main financial institutions, analysts and newspapers worldwide. To analyze the data mainly qualitative analysis and partly also quantitative analysis has been made.
