The bachelor thesis presents interpretations of selected song lyrics of the American popular music representatives ? Chuck Berry, Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Bruce Springsteen, and the present alternative band Cake. They used the motif of car or different motifs connected with it as symbols that reflect thinking, culture and current economic, social, gender or ethnic issues of the individuals and …more
