Fatty acid profile in \kur{Arcobacter}-like typing

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o bakteriích Arcobacter-like species. Jsou zde zahrnuty základní informace o jejich taxonomii, výskytu, patogenitě, možnostech izolace a identifikace. Experimenty studie jsou zaměřené na problematiku identifikace bakterií Arcobacter-like species z různých vzorků. Cílem studie je zavedení a optimalizace metody plynové chromatografie s plamenově-ionizačním detektorem (GC-FID) jako možného nástroje pro identifikaci kmenů Arcobacter-like species. Jednotlivé kmeny arkobakterů byly identifikovány také pomocí několika protokolů molekulárně-biologických metod (mPCR, 16S rRNA PCR-RFLP).

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with Arcobacter-like species. Basic information in their taxonomy, occierence, pathogenicity, isolation and identification possibilities are included. The experiments of the study are focused on the problem of identification of Arcobacter-like species from different samples. The aim of the study is the introduction and optimization of the gas chromatography-flame ionization detector (GC-FID) method as possible tool for the identification of Arcobacter-like species strains. Individual Arcobacter strains were also identified using several molecular biology protocols (mPCR, 16S rRNA PCR-RFLP).
