The thesis is focused on giving a complete picture of the roman military occupation of Britain.The paper analyzed the reasons for the occupation, and previous attempts to conquer Britain. The work contains a description of the military operations and impact on indigenous peoples and the occupiers. Abstract:
Práca je zameraná na vytvorenie celkového obrazu rímskej vojenskej okupácie Británie. V práci sú analyzované dôvody pre okupáciu a predošlé pokusy o dobytie Británie. Práca obsahuje popis vojenských operácií a dôsledky na domorodé obyvateľstvo i okupantov. Zvláštna pozornosť je venovaná i výstavbe rímskych vojenských táborov v prvotnej fáze okupácie.
