Paradigm of Minority of the Creole illustrated on the "Reunion Creuse" Scandal

Abstract:

A creol culture in the Reunion Island has always been overshadowed by a dominant culture, in our case by the French one. This hegemony in the Reunion Island can be traced up as early as to the times of the first settlement of the island. The scandal of the transfer of creol kids in 60s´ and 70s´ can be explained in our opinion by this continuing hegemony. After having analysed a paradigm of minority from various aspects we will focus on the problem of transfer itself from a historical point of vue. In an analytic part we will try to find the way the minority of Creol element towards the dominant culture is depicted.

Abstract:

Kreolská kultura na Réunionu se vždy nacházela ve stínu kultury dominantní, v našem případě kultury francouzské. Tuto hegemonii můžeme na ostrově sledovat již od dob jeho samotného osidlování. Skandál přesunu, nebo také únosu kreolských dětí v 60-70. letech je podle nás jen odrazem této dodnes existující hegemonie. Po rozboru paradigmatu mal(ičk)osti se zaměříme na samotnou problematiku tohoto únosu z historického hlediska. V analytické části se na rozboru 2 pamětních vyprávění pokusíme ukázat, v čem se tato podřazenost kreolského subjektu vůči dominantní kultuře projevuje.
