Cyclography

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na cyklografii jako speciální disciplínu geometrie, která se zabývá zobrazením prostoru do roviny, přičemž obraz bodu je kružnice. Cílem práce je podat ucelený pohled na cyklografii z historického, teoretického i praktického hlediska. V první části práce je představena historie cyklografie a její vývoj. Druhá část se opírá o dílo L. Seiferta a věnuje se cyklografii jako geometrickému zobrazení, přičemž zkoumá základní principy a definice této disciplíny. Ve třetí části jsou principy cyklografie použity na vybrané Apolloniovy úlohy, aby se ukázalo, jak lze tuto disciplínu prakticky využít při řešení klasických geometrických problémů. Práce přispívá k pochopení cyklografie jako zobrazovací metodě a ukazuje její praktické využití.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on cyclography as a specialized discipline within geometry, which deals with the mapping of space onto a plane, where the image of a point is a circle. The aim of the work is to provide a comprehensive perspective on cyclography from historical, theoretical, and practical viewpoints. The first part of the thesis presents the history of cyclography and its development. The second part is based on the work of L. Seifert and examines cyclography as a geometric mapping, exploring the fundamental principles and definitions of this discipline. In the third section, the principles of cyclography are applied to selected Apollonius problems, showcasing how this discipline can be practically used to solve classic geometric problems. The thesis contributes to the understanding of cyclography as a mapping method and demonstrates its practical applications.
