Impact of Design Modifications during the New Vehicle Development on Cost Structure: The Case of Interior Parts

Anotace:

The research object of the thesis is technical and design modifications of interior parts for newly developed vehicles in ŠKODA AUTO a.s. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate time and monetary aspects of the changes, to identify their cost impact and to compare actual costs with the plan budget. The solution is based on ex post analysis of real data from Škoda Enyaq, Škoda Fabia successor and Škoda Octavia successor projects. Based on the analysis, I will identify the project phases which have got the biggest efficiency for project cost impact (increase) with the target to use this „lessons learned“ for project cost reduction by future ŠKODA AUTO a.s. projects.
