Diplomová práce se zabývá vhodností zavedení přímé volby prezidenta v ústavním systému České republiky. Za tím účelem vymezuje rozdíly mezi parlamentní, prezidentskou a poloprezidentskou formou vlády, komparuje s relevantními ústavními systémy, a vymezuje pravomoci a postavení současného českého prezidenta. Thesis deals with suitability of implementing direct presidential election to Czech constitutional system. For this purpose thesis defines differences among parliamentary, presidential and semi-presidential forms of government, compares with relevant constitutional systems, and sums up powers and status of recent Czech president.
