Nidification of the birds in the nesting box situated at ZOO Usti nad Labem area

Abstract:

V roce 2008 bylo v areálu ZOO Ústí nad Labem vyvěšeno celkem 100 ptačích budek různých typů pro hnízdění ptactva. V hnízdní sezóně 2011 v nich zahnízdilo celkem 5 známých druhů ptáků: sýkora koňadra (Parus major), sýkora modřinka (Parus caeruleus), špaček obecný (Sturnus vulgaris), vrabec domácí (Passer domesticus) a brhlík lesní (Sitta europaea). Ve dvanácti hnízdních budkách byl v období od června do srpna pozorován plch velký (Glis glis). Celkově bylo zjištěno 36 druhů ptáků, kteří hnízdili nebo jen přelétali v areálu zoologické zahrady, z toho 14 druhů dosud nebylo publikováno.

Abstract:

In 2008 over 100 bird nest - boxes of different types were installed in ZOO Usti nad Labem area. In the nesting season 2011, there were nesting five famous species of birds: great tit (Parus major), blue tit (Parus caeruleus), common starling (Sturnus vulgaris), house sparrow (Passer domesticus) and wood nuthatch (Sitta europaea). In the period from June to August fat dormice (Glis glis) was observed in twelve bird nest - boxes. In the total amount 36 species of birds were discovered in the ZOO, either they were nesting in or just flying over there. What?s more about 14 species of the birds haven?t been published yet.
