From naive certainty to doubts: Studying acting in the atelier of Nika Brettschneider

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zaznamenává prvotní zkušenost setkání s hereckým uměním v ateliéru Niky Brettschneiderové. Autorka se zde cestou reflexe zabývá zásadními jednotlivými impresemi, které v průběhu studia činoherního herectví nastávaly. Snaží se rozklíčovat původ svých dojmů a předsudků a popsat faktory, které její uchopování hereckých prostředků značně ovlivňovaly. Popisuje zásadní specifika a pedagogické postupy studia v daném ateliéru a touto cestou zkoumá otázku vlastní disponibility k umění. Osobní objevy opírá také o zkušenost s hereckou prací na vzniku monodramatu, kde se setkala s inovativní tvořivostí Jiřího Koláře, a věnuje se tak výhodnosti využití jeho tvorby pro tvorbu vlastní, potažmo k nalezení některých základních hereckých principů.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „From naive certainty to doubts: Studying acting in atelier of Nika Brettschneider “describes the author’s first experience with performing art in atelier of Nika Brettschneider. In the diploma thesis author deals with reflecting essential impressions, which elevated during acting studies. She is trying to detect the source of her perceptions and prejudices, and to describe factors which substantially affected grasping of her acting mediums and styles. She describes essential specifics and learning methods of studying in the atelier and explores the issue of innate dispositions to art. Personal revelations are based on her acting work on creating a monodrama where she encounters an innovative creativeness of Jiri Kolar and she deals with the benefits of using his work for her own artistic creation and, by extension, to finding certain basic acting principles.
