Abstract:

Tato absolventská práce se zabývá etickými dilematy, které se objevují v sociální práci se seniory. Cílem je navrhnout systematický postup způsobu řešení etických dilemat. Teoretická část práce se odkazuje jak na možnosti předcházení etických dilemat prostřednictvím specifických metod práce se seniory, tak na možnosti řešení etických dilemat za pomoci Etického kodexu asociace vzdělavatelů sociální práce ČR, supervize nebo předních etických teorií, kterými jsou Kantova deontologická etiky, utilitarismus a Aristotelova etika ctnosti. Poznatky z těchto metod dále aplikuji na etické dilema, které shodně zmínili tři ze čtyř respondentů, zda přijmout do služby člověka, který je bez domova a nemá dost finančních prostředků, aby si mohl službu dovolit. Toto dilema postupně rozebírám podle techniky porovnání kladů a záporů, kterou respondenti uvedli jako nejužívanější v jejich praxi. Porovnala jsem tedy klady a zápory jednotlivých možností jednání a následně se na etické dilema dívala optikou sociálního pracovníka vyznávající Kantovu deontologickou etiku, utilitarismus nebo Aristotelovu etiku ctnosti. To stejné dilema jsem také zkoumala za pomoci Etického dotazníku a jeho naváděcích otázek, který byl sestaven vedoucím mé práce panem Mgr. Vohánkou, Ph.D., a který byl součástí mého výzkumu. Poslední metodou řešení etického dilematu byl internetový program Clearer thinking decision maker. Ten funguje na podobném principu jako Etický dotazník. Člověka navádí k hlubšímu přemýšlení a lepšímu prozkoumání nabízených možností řešení. Obě varianty vnímám jako prospěšné při řešení etických dilemat.

Abstract:

This graduate thesis deals with ethical dilemmas that appear in social work with the elderly. The aim is to propose a systematic approach of how ethical dilemmas are addressed. The theoretical part of the thesis refers both to the possibilities of preventing ethical dilemmas through specific methods of work with the elderly, as well as to the possibilities of solving ethical dilemmas with the help of the Code of Ethics of the Association of Social Work Educators of the Czech Republic, Supervision or leading ethical theories such as Kant's deontological ethics, utilitarianism and Aristotle's ethics of virtue. I futher apply the findings of these methods to the ethical dilemmas which was equally mentioned by three out of four respondents about whether to accept a person who is homeless and does not have enough funds to afford the service. I gradually analyze this dilemma according to the technique of comparing the pros and cons, which the respondents described as the most used in their practice. So I compared the pros and cons of the individual possibilities of action, and subsequently looked at the ethical dilemma by the optics of a social worker professing Kant's deontological ethics, utilitarianism or Aristotle's ethics of virtue. I also examined the same dilemma with the help of the Ethics Questionnaire and its guidance questions, which was compiled by the supervisor of my work, Mr. Mgr. Vohánka, Ph.D., and which was part of my research. The last method of solving the ethical dilemma was the internet program Clearer thinking decision maker. This one works on a similar principle as the Ethics Questionnaire. It leads one to think more deeply and leads to the ability to explore the offered solutions better. I perceive both options beneficial in solving ethical dilemmas.
