Cílem diplomové práce je analýza symbolu vlka v novele Letícia e o lobo Júpiter od jednoho z největších portugalských povídkářů Domingose Monteira. V teoretické části práce je představen literárně-historický kontext a doba, ve které autor žil, symbolika vlka zejména ve vztahu k regionálním aspektům portugalské literatury 20. století.
