Abstract:

V Oddělení hudební historie Moravského zemského muzea je uložen rajhrad¬ský rukopis z konce 16. století. Rajhradský hudební rukopis představuje unikátní dokument vokální polyfonie z konce 16. století dochovaný v českém prostředí. Ru-kopis sestává z pěti hlasových knih – Cantus, Altus, Tenor, Bassus, Quinta vox (Sexta vox chybí). Sborník obsahuje celkem sedmdesát jedna latinských motet, jednu neočíslovanou mši Philippa de Monte Nasce la pena mia, dvě pijácké písně na ně-mecký text a jednu českou duchovní píseň Milosrdný Bože, prosím za to, rač se zná-ti. Autory skladeb byli Wenceslaus Figura, Thomas Ludovic da Victoria, Jacob Reg-nart, Jacobus de Kerle, Jacobus Handl Gallus, Salomon Klein, Jacob Clemens non Papa, Joannes Knefelius, Orlando di Lasso, Vendelinus Kesslerus, Gregorius Lange, Philippe de Monte a malá část skladeb je zapsána bez autorského určení. Celkově se na opisu repertoáru podílelo šest písařů, přičemž pět se podílelo na zápisu hudebních skladeb a šestý provedl obsahový soupis a vřadil ho do třetí hlasové knihy Tenor, dále dopsal pořadová čísla motet ve druhé části hlasových knih a v některých přípa-dech zasáhl i do původních textů. V pořadí druhý písař nadepsal knihu Altus průvod-ním nadpisem Selectae aliquot cantiones piae, sex at quinqe vocibus tam voci hu-manae, quam Instrumentis musicis acommodassimaae, harmonicis numeris contin-natae. Varii authoribus at me I. C. singulari studio (Různé zpěvy pobožné, pěti a šestihlasé. Do té míry pro hlasy lidské tak i instrumentální přizpůsobených. Sou-ladně čísly uspořádané. S obzvláštní pílí sebrané různými autory a mnou I. C.). V pozdější době, patrně v druhé polovině 18. století, pak do celkového rámce zasáhl ještě jeden písař, který připsal provenienční poznámku a nadepsal třetí hlasovou kni-hu Tenor textem Cantiones variorum Authorum.Rajhradský rukopisný sborník reprezentuje unikátní památku z doby vokální polyfonie, která s sebou přináší mnoho otázek nejen o svém původu. Vodítkem k určení je iniciála autora průvodního nadpisu I. C. a rovněž provenience rukopisu, ač není zcela zřejmé zda rukopis z rajhradského kláštera opravdu pochází nebo sem byl importován z pražského břevnovského kláštera, pod jehož patronát Rajhradský klášter spadal. Bude k tomu zapotřebí nejen muzikologických znalostí, ale i spolupráce s ostatními historiografickými obory. V první řadě bude nutné důkladné prostudování dějin samotného rajhradského kláštera i jeho okolí v 16. a 17. století. Jak je výše uvedeno, na rukopise se podílel více než jeden písař, bude tedy nutné jejich rukopisy porovnávat z hlediska paleografie (historického vývoje písma), aby bylo možno určit co nejpřesněji dobu vzniku rajhradského rukopisu.

Abstract:

The Rajhrad manuscript is denoted with signatur A 7077. This manuscript is originates from the second half of the 16. century. It consists of five songbooks: Can-tus, Altus, Tenorus, Bassus and Quinta vox. Each of those songbooks includes 72 motets in three languages: Latin, Czech and German. Such complex of five song-books is unique in the Czech area; and it is also very rare in the whole Europe. Six scribes took part in the creation of the manuscript. Only five of them ac-tually transcribed the motets, the sixth one wrote the table of contents in the third songbook "Tenor". Yet Another writer edited the manuscript later, probably in the second half of the 18. century. Authors of the motets in the manuscript were the most important composers of the second half of the 16. century. They were: Christoph Clavius, Salomon Klein, Clemens non Papa, Wenceslaus Figura, Jacob Handl Gallus, Jacob de Kerle, Vende-linus Kesslerus, Joannes Knefelius, Gregorius Lange, Orlando di Lasso, Thomas Ludovicus de Victoria, Philippe de Monte, Hannibal Paduanus, Jacob Regnart, Tho-mas Sartorius, Ivo de Vento, Jachet a Werth. Some of these were members of the emperor's court orchestra in the times of Maxmilián II. and Rudolf II.. The most im-portant for me are Philippe de Monte and Jacob Regnart, whose motets were com-posed even before the court orchestra came to Praque, that is when the emperor Rudolf II. was with his court in Vienna in the 70´s of the 16. century. The place of origin of the manuscript is unknown. I know with certainty that the manuscript wasn´t written in the Rajhrad monastery. After making this clear, I had a few hypotheses; the first was that the manuscript originated in the Břevnov monastery, but this hypothesis wasn´t correct. Another hypothesis was that the manuscript came from the benedictine sisters' monastery in Broumov, but not even this hypothesis was confirmed. Another clue to its origin gave me the watermark of the paper, which the manuscript was written on. That exact Filigran was used in Sant Pöllten during 1582–159?. But even this is not certain. As it was impossible to reach accounting books of the Rajhrad monastery for studying, the question about origin of this manuscript is still covered by curtain of uncertainty. By comparison with manuscripts preserved in surrounding countries it is clear, that Rajhrad manuscript represents very advanced selection of vocal polyphony repertoire. In several cases of occurrence particular author’s compositions it could be mentioned as a rarity. First of all it is Salomon Klein, whose two motets are not to-gether in any other of known codices. They are only present separately; one in München and other in Wrocław. As for liturgical categorization, most of the motets are intended for extra-sacramental liturgy regarding holydays during the year; therefore they are not to be used in a particular liturgical form.
