Motivation to bodybuilding

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou motivace k bodybuildingu v českém prostředí. Zachycuje zejména dynamiku motivace a rozebírá faktory, které ji ovlivňují. Závěry práce jsou založeny především na terénním výzkumu, v němž hlavní výzkumnou metodou byly polostrukturované rozhovory. Doplňujícími metodami poté bylo zúčastněné pozorování a studium literatury. Díky terénnímu výzkumu práce dokumentuje také každodennost zájemce o posilování a vnitřní i vnější projevy aktérů praktikujících bodybuilding. Její přínos tkví zejména v dokumentací českého prostředí, které etnologií zatím v rámci tohoto tématu probádáno nebylo.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of bodybuilding motivation in the Czech environment. In particular, it captures the dynamics of motivation and analyses the factors that influence it. The conclusions of the thesis are based mainly on field research, in which the main research method was semi-structured interviews. Complementary methods were then participant observation and literature study. Through field research, the thesis also documents the everyday life of those interested in bodybuilding and the internal and external manifestations of bodybuilding practitioners. Its contribution lies mainly in the documentation of the Czech environment, which has not yet been explored by ethnology within this topic.
