Suburbanization in the Central Bohemian Region

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá suburbanizací ve Středočeském kraji. Práce analyzuje dopady suburbanizace na životní prostředí, které jsou dále dokumentovány na příkladu města Jesenice. Se suburbanizací jsou díky její neřízenosti spojeny spíše negativní dopady a to jak na životní prostředí, tak i na další oblasti. Práce představuje indikátory a ukazatele, podle kterých lze tyto dopady hodnotit. Součástí práce jsou také data a postoje místní správy a občanů. Práce ukazuje i na význam územního plánování při předcházení negativních důsledků suburbanizace.

Abstract:

This Diploma Thesis deals with the suburbanization in the Central Bohemian region. The Thesis analyzes effects of suburbanization on the environment which are further documented on the example of the town Jesenice. Due to its immoderation suburbanization is connected with a rather negative impact on both, the environment and other areas. The Thesis presents indicators and metrics on which the impacts can be evaluated. Data and attitudes of local government are also a part of the Thesis. This Diploma Thesis also represents the importance of urban planning as a prevention of negative consequences of suburbanization.
