Computer technology as a means of committing crimes

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis addresses the issue of cybercrime. The first chapter focuses on the historical overview, concept, content and cyber-crime division, as well as differences from the classic crime. The second chapter deals with computer crime entities, namely the offender and victim. The third chapter analyzes the direct cybercrime and the fourth chapter focuses on the indirect cybercrime. The fifth chapter describes the consequences of cyber crime and computer systems security. The sixth chapter deals with computer crime investigation techniques. The seventh chapter discusses the issue of prevention and legislation. The goal of my work was to provide a comprehensive look at the problems of computer crime, the modus operandi of cyber crime, the legal standards and regulations especially in the area of criminal law that address the problems of computer crime in the Slovak Republic and the European Union.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa venuje problematike počítačovej kriminality. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na historický prehľad, pojem, obsah a delenie počítačovej kriminality, ako aj rozdiely od klasickej kriminality. Druhá kapitola sa zaoberá subjektmi počítačovej kriminality, teda osobou páchateľa a poškodeného. Tretia kapitola analyzuje priamu počítačovú kriminalitu a štvrtá kapitola je zameraná na nepriamu počítačovú kriminalitu. Piata kapitola popisuje následky počítačovej kriminality a bezpečnosť počítačových systémov. Šiesta kapitola pojednáva o vyšetrovacích metódach počítačovej kriminality. Siedma kapitola rozoberá problematiku prevencie a legislatívy. Cieľom mojej práce bolo poskytnúť komplexný pohľad na problematiku počítačovej kriminality, na spôsoby páchania počítačovej trestnej činnosti, na právne normy a predpisy najmä z oblasti trestného práva, ktoré riešia problematiku počítačovej kriminality v Slovenskej republike a v Európskej únii.
