Abstract:

The primary focus of the bachelor's thesis is to conduct a financial analysis of "International Business Machines," encompassing both fundamental and technical analysis. Along with the financial analysis, the thesis assesses the current state of the company. The thesis employs key terms such as "financial analysis," "fundamental analysis," "technical analysis," "activity," "liquidity," "profitability," "simple moving average," "Bollinger Bands," "relative strength index," "correlation," and others. The theoretical segment of the thesis provides a fundamental introduction and elucidates the underlying theories of fundamental and technical analysis. Additionally, it provides a concise summary of financial indicators utilizing an income statement, ratio analysis, balance sheet, and stock price charts. The practical section of the thesis examines the profile of IBM, emphasizing both technical and fundamental analysis. The primary objective of the financial analysis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the fundamental and technical aspects of IBM, while also presenting a broader financial picture of the company known as "International Business Machines."
