Comorbidity in Patients With Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku komorbidit u pacientů s chronickou obstrukční plicní nemocí (dále jen CHOPN). Teoretická část práce se zabývá stádii CHOPN, epidemiologií, rizikovými faktory, patologií, patofyziologií, patogenezí, diagnostikou a současnými možnostmi farmakologické a nefarmakologické terapie. Dále se práce soustředí na ekonomickou a sociální zátěž související mimo jiné i s komorbiditami CHOPN. V závěru této části práce je zmíněna edukace pacientů/klientů a jejich rodin. Empirickou část práce tvoří výzkumné šetření, jehož součástí je posouzení výskytu komorbidit u pacientů/klientů plicní ambulance okresní nemocnice. Závěry výzkumého šetření potvrzují častost výskytu komorbidit u pacientů s CHOPN.

Abstract:

This diploma project focuses on the issue of comorbidity of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD hereafter). The first theoretical part deals with the stages of COPD, epidemiology, risk factors, pathology, pathophysiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and current possibilities of pharmacological and nonpharmacological therapy. Next part of this theory focuses on the economic and social burden associated with comorbidities including COPD. At end of this theoretical part education of patients / clients and their families is mentioned. The second empirical part consists of investigation, including assessment of comorbidity of patients/ clients from country hospital pulmonary clinic. The findings of the survey confirm frequency of comorbidity of patients with COPD.
