Catholic priest and healer Josef Bečica and his work in the Moravská Třebová district between the republic, the protectorate and the communist regime

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem této práce je život, ne zcela známého katolického kněze a léčitele Josefa Bečici, a to především v době, kdy působil v obci Roubanina a jeho okolí. Chronologicky se práce věnuje jeho životu od dětství, až po dobu, kdy se dostal do funkce faráře na venkovské obci v tehdejším okrese Moravská Třebová během první a druhé republiky, protektorátu a komunistického režimu, kdy nakonec umírá. Zároveň se práce věnuje obecnou situací církve od přelomu 19. a 20. století, až po 50. léta. Stejně tak se zabývá léčitelstvím, především po roce 1945.

Abstract:

The main theme of this work is the life of the not very well-known Catholic priest and healer Josef Bečica, especially at the time when he worked in the village of Roubanina and its surroundings. Chronologically, the work deals with his life from childhood to the time when he became a pastor in a rural village in the then district of Moravská Třebová during the First and Second Republics, the Protectorate and the Communist regime, when he died in the end. At the same time, the work deals with the general situation of the church from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries to the 1950s. It also deals with healing, especially after 1945.
