Teoretická část práce vychází z konceptu resilience, který zkoumá úspěšnou adaptaci jedinců navzdory vystavení nepříznivým podmínkám. Resilience je to definována jako interakce dvou podmínek: rizikových faktorů – stresujících životních událostí anebo nepříznivých podmínek prostředí které zvyšují zranitelnost jedince a protektivních faktorů, které odráží, tlumí a chrání proti těmto rizikům. The theoretical part introduces the concept of resiliency which refers of positive adaptation in the context of significant risk or adversity.
