The development of repertoire for piano duo

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem repertoáru pro klavírní duo. Konkrétně se zaměřuje na genezi prvních děl pro klavírní duo a rozvoj literatury pro toto obsazení ve světě i u nás. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř samostatných částí. V první kapitole stručně charakterizuje historické počátky klavíru a klavírní techniky v určitých obdobích. Cílem druhé části je pojednání o technických aspektech čtyřruční hry. Třetí díl se zaměřuje na interpretaci českého dua Lejskových. V závěru práce jsou zachyceny interpretační a pedagogické poznámky Lisztova Concerta Pathétique pro dva klavíry. Práce by měla být přínosem pro studenty a pedagogy věnující se oboru klavírního dua.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the development of the repertoire for piano duo. Specifically, it focuses on the genesis of the first works for piano duo and development literature for this occupation in the world and in us. The work is divided into four separate parts. The first chapter briefly describes the historical origins of the piano and piano technique at certain times. The second part focuses on the technical aspects of the piano duet. The third part focuses on the interpretation of Czech duo Lejskových. In conclusion, there are recorded interpretive and educational notes in Liszt Concerto Pathétique for two pianos. The work should be beneficial for students and educators dedicated to the field of piano duo.
