Model of a surge arrester

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je vytvořit model svodiče přepětí. Svodič přepětí má za úkol omezit případné přepětí vzniklé v elektrorozvodné síti na přípustnou mez, a to přesně tak, jak uvádějí výrobci těchto ochran v katalogových listech. V úvodu práce se budu snažit popsat problematiku přepětí, jeho negativní dopady na provoz sítě a k ní připojená elektrická zařízení. Přepěťové ochrany se vyrábí v mnoha variantách, jak pro ochranu velkých energetických celků, tak i pro ochranu jednotlivých zařízení. Patří sem např. generátory, transformátory, ale také koncová zařízení, obsahující citlivé elektronické obvody. Některé typy ochran se budu snažit ve své práci více popsat a přiblížit jejich funkci a zařazení. Ve druhé části práce bude vytvořen počítačový model svodiče přepětí. Výsledky z počítačové simulace budou porovnány s výsledky měření na vybraném reálném svodiči přepětí. Výsledky simulace a měření budou porovnány s údaji datových listů výrobce.

Abstract:

The theme of this thesis is to make a model of a surge arrester. The surge arrester is designed to reduce any resulting surge in the electricity network to an acceptable level, and strictly according to the information given in the data sheets of manufacturers of these protections. In the introduction part I will try to describe problems of surges, their negative impacts on electricity network and connected electrical equipment. The surge protections are produced in many varieties, both for the protection of large power units and for protection of individual devices. These include for example generators, transformers, as well as terminal equipment containing sensitive electronic circuits. I will try to closely describe some types of protections, its function and classification in this work. In the second part of this work a computer model of surge arresters will be created. The results of computer simulations will be compared with measurements on a selected real surge arrester. The results of the simulation and measurements will be compared with data sheets of manufacturers.
