Didactic technique as a factor in increasing the effectiveness of teacher's work

Abstract:

Tato závěrečná práce si klade za cíl popsat problematiku moderních technologií používaných ve výuce a zodpovědět otázku, jak mohou didaktické techniky (DT) zvýšit účinnost pedagogické práce učitelů. První část práce objasní používané termíny týkající se tohoto tématu, následuje přiblížení potenciálu didaktických technik ve výchovně-vzdělávacím procesu. V závěru práce předkládám výsledky mého praktického dotazníkového šetření na SZeŠ a SOŠ Poděbrady. Ukázalo se, že přestože jsou pozitivní důsledky používání moderních technologií ve výuce nesporné, učitelé se jejich používání brání, případně mají problém zvolit správnou metodu jejich použití, čímž ze zábavnějšího podání látky naopak činí hodiny méně zajímavé. Studenti se dokonce shodují, že nejlépe a nejtrvaleji se danou látku naučí z vlastních, ručně psaných poznámek. Jako nezbytný další krok tedy vidím kurzy a školení pro učitele, na kterých by se naučili didaktické techniky správně používat a využít tak celý jejich potenciál.

Abstract:

This final thesis aims to describe the issue of modern technologies used in teaching and to answer the question how didactic techniques (DT) can increase the efficiency of pedagogical work of teachers. The first part of the thesis clarifies the used terms related to this topic, followed by approaching of the potential of didactic techniques in the education and training process. At the end of the thesis I present the results of my practical questionnaire survey at SZeŠ a SOŠ Poděbrady. It turns out that though the positive effects of using modern technology in teaching are undisputed, teachers are reluctant to use them, or they have a problem to choose the right method of using DT, making the lessons less interesting instead of more funny. Students even agree that the best and most durable way of learning is to use their own, handwritten notes. As a necessary next step, I see courses and trainings for teachers to learn how to use the didactic techniques correctly and how to take full advantage of their potential.
