The aim of diploma thesis was to design a large association study on a set of several hundred patients with schizophrenia and control subjects, male and female. Cieľom diplomovej práce bolo prevedenie veľkej asociačnej štúdie na súbore niekoľko stoviek pacientov so schizofréniou a kontrolných osôb mužského a ženského pohlavia. V tejto štúdii bola využitá metóda SNaPshot a kapilárny sekvenátor pre analýzu bodových polymorfizmov kandidátnych génov.
