Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá komparací přístupů Ruska a Číny k R2P, přičemž primární důraz je autorkou kladen na třetí pilíř konceptu. Teoretická část práce zachycuje samotný vývoj tohoto konceptu, k němuž docházelo zejména začátkem nového tisíciletí v souvislosti s potřebou efektivního řešení závažného porušování lidských práv ve světě. V empirické části pak na základě stanovených oblastí autorka analyzuje jednotlivé přístupy zemí ke konceptu zejména z hlediska oficiálně vyjadřovaných postojů. Následně autorka s ohledem na získaná data přístupy zemí komparuje a závěr práce pak slouží pro zodpovězení stanovených výzkumných otázek.

Abstract:

This thesis compares the approaches of Russia and China to the R2P concept, with the primary focus on the third pillar. The theoretical part of the thesis depicts the very development of this concept, which occurred at the beginning of the new millennium in connection with the need to effectively address serious human rights violations in the world. In the empirical part, based on the identified areas, the author analyses the different approaches of countries to the concept, especially in terms of official attitudes. Subsequently, the author compares the countries' approaches in the light of the data obtained and the conclusion of the thesis is then used to answer the research questions identified.
