Character Narrative and Genre in Robert Browning's The Ring and the Book
Anotace:
Tato práce zkoumá jedno z hlavních děl Roberta Browninga The Ring and the Book. Soustředí se především na postavy, jejich vlastnosti a jejich dramatické monology. Dále také ukazuje a zkoumá žánry zakomponované v The Ring and the Book a porovnává toto dílo s Browningovými pozdějšími sbírkami poezie, Asolando a Dramatic Idylls.
Abstract:
The thesis analyzes Robert Browning's masterpiece The Ring and the Book. If concentrates primarily on the characters, their attributes and monologues. It also identifies and examines the genres in The Ring and the Book and compares it with Browning's later poetry, Asolando and Dramatic Idylls.
